After almost 23 years of marriage, Vera Wang and her husband Arthur Becker have officially announced they are calling it quits.
On Wednesday (July 11), the president of Vera's company, Mario Grauso released a statement to Women's Wear Daily about the separation saying, "Vera Wang and Arthur Becker have mutually and amicably agreed to separate. They remain devoted parents to their two daughters."
The pair were just two weeks shy of their 23rd wedding anniversary, but it seems as if making it this far was a surprise for the 63-year-old designer, as she told New York magazine in 2006 explaining, "I was going to be a fashion nun the rest of my life."
After friends told her to get married and start a family that's just what she did adding, "So I married my husband. There are days I'm not happy I did it, but there are days I'm thrilled."
In business news, many women envy the thought of wearing a beautiful Vera Wang design down the aisle on their wedding day, but could wearing one of the infamous numbers be a curse to your relationship?
